My top 3 from March

March Top Three_Blog.png

I love new things. I am constantly looking for new books, podcast, recipes, etc. This doesn’t always serve me well running my own business. I am really learning to focus in on things in that arena this year.

BUT, since there is a wealth of goodies in my head I thought I’d start sharing more of what I find. Every month I’ll be coming in with some recommendations. Things to learn from, things to try, and things to enjoy.

  1. The Residence: Inside the Private World of the White House (Check it out on Amazon)

I’m not even done with this book and I think it should definitely be on your list! Kate Andersen Brower, former White House correspondent, takes you inside a group of staff in the residence of the White House. Stories from the Kennedys to the Obamas, the staff allows you to see the relationships they’ve built with the first families and how they make the house run smoothly.

    Simply, it’s fascinating.

  2. Podcast: Happy Hour with Jamie Ivey

I’m soo late to the game on this podcast but I recently started listening to it and I LOVE IT! Jamie has a variety of guests talking about a whole gamut of life things. It’s a dose of encouragement to your daily life. I promise, you’ll love it.

Favorite Eps, so far: Marshawn Evans Daniels, Alli Worthington and Jennie Allen

  3. Yum: Peanut Banana Smoothie

In 2017, J and I did Whole30. I love a good snack, and wanted to find something I loved that was Whole 30 compliant. That was the birth of my favorite smoothie, I have it almost every day!

    Recipe:
    A couple handfuls of ice
About a cup of cashew milk (enough that will let the smoothie blend all the way)
    1 banana
    Cinnamon (to taste)
Spoonful of Peanut or Cashew Butter
1 Tbsp of unsweetened cocoa powder (you can also use chocolate protein powder)
Honey (to taste, but you don’t need much)
*I added the cocoa and honey post Whole30
    Blend and drink it up!
